Paul Rottenberg, MBA, MPH

Paul Rottenberg is the president of FireStats, LLC. He has been performing statistical analyses for municipal fire departments since 1999 and has been working for over 35 years as a consultant to business and government, providing analysis and public policy support to cities, special districts, and public contractors throughout the United States.

Paul has a Master’s Degree in Public Health with a concentration in health policy and management from the University of California at Los Angeles and he has an MBA from the University of San Francisco with a concentration in management and international business. He received his Bachelor’s Degree from San Francisco State University as well as having taken additional undergraduate studies in foreign language at the University of California, Berkeley and economics Georgetown University in Washington, D.C.

Paul spent ten years as a paid-call firefighter/apparatus operator/EMT with small municipal combination fire department in the Northern California Sierra foothills and keeps his certifications current including Firefighter I, Class B CDL, EMT, certifications in Hazmat, et. al.

He is a designated subject matter expert in deployment analysis at the National Fire Academy in Emmitsburg, MD, regularly teaches curriculum he created in fire service and EMS management, and is regular speaker at major and regional fire service conferences nationwide.

While now focused exclusively on fire, EMS and public health, Paul has been involved in a large variety of environmental and public benefit projects over the course of his career.
